At MCDOLY.LK, we are committed to your satisfaction with our exclusive luxury fashion pieces. Due to the highly limited production of our collections, most designs are crafted in very small runs (typically no more than 200 pieces total per design, across all colors and sizes) our return and refund policy reflects the exclusivity, artisanal nature, and scarcity that define our brand.

Please read this policy carefully before placing an order. By making a purchase, you agree to these terms.

1. General Principles

•  All items are sold with the understanding of their limited-edition status and premium quality.

•  We prioritize quality control and authenticity; however, due to the handmade/crafted elements of luxury fashion, minor variations in finish, texture, or fit may occur and are considered normal.

•  Returns or refunds are only accepted in specific circumstances outlined below.

•  Time-sensitive notification requirement: Any request for return, exchange, or refund must be initiated within 2 days (48 hours) after the date of delivery (as confirmed by the carrier’s tracking). This short window allows us to maintain the integrity of our limited collections and process requests promptly.

2. Eligible Reasons for Return or Refund 

We accept returns/refunds only in the following limited cases:

•  The item arrives damaged or defective upon delivery (e.g., manufacturing flaw, not as described, or materially different from the product page).

•  The wrong item was shipped (incorrect style, size, or color).

•  The item is missing key components (tags, authenticity details, original packaging elements).

Change of mind or buyer’s remorse is not accepted as a basis for return/refund, especially for our limited-edition pieces.

3. Final Sale Items 

Due to the extremely limited production quantities:

•  All items are considered final sale unless proven to fall under the eligible reasons above.

•  No returns, exchanges, or refunds are accepted for:

•  Change of mind

•  Incorrect sizing/fit (we recommend reviewing size guides carefully)

•  Personal preference

•  Items that have been worn, altered, washed, or damaged after receipt

This policy aligns with standard practices for luxury and limited-edition fashion brands, where scarcity and exclusivity are core to the product value.

4. How to Initiate a Return or Refund Request

1.  Contact us immediately – within 2 days of delivery – via one of the following channels:

2.  Do not ship anything back without our prior approval and instructions – unauthorized returns may not be processed.

3.  We will review your request (typically within 1–3 business days) and provide instructions if approved, including a return authorization and shipping address (usually our Sri Lanka headquarters).

4.  Return shipping costs are your responsibility unless the issue is our error (wrong item, defective, damaged in transit). We recommend using a trackable carrier with insurance for high-value items.

5. Condition of Returned Items For any approved return:

•  The item must be unworn, unwashed, with all original tags/labels attached, in perfect resale condition, and returned in the original packaging (including dust bags, boxes, authenticity cards if provided).

•  We reserve the right to refuse or issue partial/no refund if the item does not meet these standards.

6. Refunds

•  Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method.

•  Refunds exclude original shipping fees (unless the return is due to our error).

•  Processing time: 5–10 business days after we receive and inspect the item.

•  We are not responsible for delays caused by payment processors or banks.

7. Exceptions and Legal Rights

•  Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws (e.g., in Sri Lanka under the Consumer Affairs Authority Act, or in your country of residence for mandatory protections like EU/UK 14-day cooling-off periods where they apply to distance sales).

•  If local law requires a longer return window or different conditions, those mandatory rules will prevail over this policy to the extent required.
